Lead the North American Packaging Engineering Team, driving continuous advancement in innovation, sustainability, and cost savings, thereby enhancing KCP's speed to market and overall cost efficiency.
Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day direction for a team of 4 Packaging Engineers and 1 Specification Coordinator, ensuring effective implementation of programs and projects through analysis, independent judgment, and functional work direction.
Project Management: Oversee packaging projects to ensure timely delivery for new product launches, lifecycle management (LCM) projects, and cost-saving initiatives.
Innovation and Sustainability: Champion innovative and sustainable practices within the Packaging Engineering team.
Cost Efficiency: Implement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve market speed.
System Ownership: Maintain and manage the North American packaging specification system infrastructure.
In this role, you will:
Manage the day-to-day workload of the Packaging Engineers to ensure packaging engineering elements of IMF and LCM projects are completed on time and cost effectively.
Drive packaging innovation through the use of new materials and packaging design to enable KCP products to have a competitive edge.
Manage own packaging projects within the IMF/LCM process.
Be the North American business contact for packaging and consultant for the EU,LAO & AP regions when required.
Drive packaging Force/BFS and Sustainability Programs.
Maintain the NA packaging specification system infrastructure. Implement recommendations for opportunities as required.
Work with Packaging Graphics team to maintain/improve workflow processes to reduce speed to market and reduce revision rate.
Maintain hardware and software contracts required for the Packaging Team (TOPS Engineering & Artios CAD).
Oversee packaging engineering budget.
Recommend system and process updates to improve KCP speed to market and packaging engineering costs.
Manage packaging engineering/specification relationships with both KCP manufacturing facilities (5 internal KCP mills) and external manufacturers (120 external mills).
Manage packaging engineering/specification relationships with KCP packaging vendors.
Work with packaging suppliers to understand new materials and processes that would be beneficial to KCP.
Uphold the “One K-C behaviors” within the Packaging Engineering Team.

Bachelor's degree
10+ years of related work experience
Knowledge of packaging engineering (packaging materials, converting, packaging equipment and processes) and packaging graphics/printing is required.
Understanding KCP functions/systems is preferred
The incumbent must be highly analytical, organized and able to handle numerous, complex projects simultaneously.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $174,000 USD

This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role's country only. Kimberly-Clark will not provide relocation support for this role.
