Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. Area Safety Manager Location: Roseville, MN Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Area Safety Manager to join our team located in Roseville, MN. The Area Safety Manager is responsible for providing direction, advice, and assessment to area management in safety, health, environmental, and related issues (i.e., regulatory policy and procedures, safety standards, and best practices) for compressed gases cylinder businesses-LG&E Central West Region. What we offer you! - Competitive pay & commission eligible - Comprehensive benefit plan (medical, dental, vision and more) - 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan - Paid time off (vacation, holidays, PTO) - Employee Discount Programs - Career growth opportunities - Pay range: $88,857 - $118,500 yearly (commensurate with experience) What you will be doing: - Supports Health, Safety, and Environmental activities within the Central West Region - Audits performance and compliance with policies, programs, and procedures - Development and review of proactive safety and health programs - Identifies new health and safety programs needs or changes to existing programs - Advises and represents Company during regulatory actions - Attends operations meetings to review health & safety concerns and issues - Conducts Safety Meetings on topics designed to promote an understanding of company policies, programs, procedures - Participates as a technical member on Health and Safety Committee, and assists in driving completion of meetings - Manages safety equipment inspection and testing programs, and maintain equipment - Inspects emergency plant safety equipment - Conducts site surveys to assure compliance with Corporate Health and Safety policies, programs, procedures and guidelines, and proper work practices needed to maintain a safe and healthful operation and work site - Completes health and safety surveys as assigned, and prepare reports on observations - Refers non-compliance conditions, uncooperative supervision, illness or accident trends to Regional Health and Safety Manager - Performs root cause analysis on all Regional safety incidents/accidents; Ensures preventative actions are implemented - Accountable for overall safety performance as a Region - Accountable for overall ACMS performance as a Region - Accountable for Green File compliance at the Roseville, MN location - Other duties as assigned What makes you great: • B.S. degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a closely related field preferred or equivalent experience • 5+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience • Understanding of OSHA • Excellent knowledge of Federal and State health and safety regulations • Time management & the ability to work with little to no supervision • Strong written and verbal communication skills MS Office Suite experience required • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization • Experiencing managing others is preferred • Willingness to travel 75% throughout Central Region Why you will enjoy working with us: Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2022 sales of $33 billion.
