Position Summary
The Sales Coordinator handles a variety of customer service and administrative tasks to help generate new business and maintain strong relationships with current clients. Based upon customer inquiries, the Sales Coordinator will sell the appropriate bookings and cross-sell business units to meet the customer's needs. This role involves processing sales requests, managing sales documentation, updating customer records and responding to customer requests in a timely manner. The Sales Coordinator will also need to develop strong relationships with the business unit managers as well as the corporate team to ensure effective and timely resolution of guest requests and issues. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
In partnership with the Director of Sales, identify and pursue new business opportunities.Upsell and cross-sell services to maximize profitability.Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing timely response, guidance and recommendations to clients.Drafting and preparing contracts.Ability to know and retain pricing and product information.Assist in processing and analysis of sales reporting including vendor reporting.Update and maintain accurate client information.Processing client deposits, payments and refunds.Answering phones.Attend meetings as necessary.Complete special projects as needed.Some travel and trade show attendance may be required.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Two years of professional hospitality, or a related field, sales experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely mannerStrong organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced settingSelf-motivatedCapacity to collaborate effectively with othersDetail orientedEfficient typing skills
