TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Technician to join our team in Everett, Pennsylvania.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain various PTC communications systems and sub-systems including: microwave radios, VHF and UHF mobiles, portables, repeaters and base stations, radio telepanels & intercom systems, telephone and data systems.
Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) products including: variable message signs, roadside and security CCTV systems, and weather detection systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on all systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
Valid PA drivers license (clean driving record required)
Basic Computer Skills (MS Word & Excel)
3 years Electronics experience with good knowledge of RF and Microwave.
Desired Skills:
Background on CISCO TCP/IP networking and familiarity with Service Now a plus.
Fiber Optic termination and troubleshooting.
RF and Microwave development.
Special Qualifications:
Any applicable knowledge of Toll Systems a plus.
Education:
Required - High School Diploma or GED
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
