Actuarial - ActuarialThe Annuity Pricing team is responsible for executing crediting rate actions across the entire individual annuity suite of products employing product management levers to meet risk/return objectives. The team emphasizes a customer obsessed mindset to develop and implement strategies which balance profit targets, sales goals, and customer experience.
What you can expect:
· Collaborating with Annuities business partners to manage rate setting and rate renewals for the $5B+ annual sales Fixed Annuity product portfolio
· Understanding and explaining key financial drivers of the Fixed Annuity portfolio to Annuity business partners
· Calculating and reporting profitability of Fixed Annuity products and developing the quarterly reporting narratives
· Leading a team of three associates with an emphasis on their personal development
· Analyze, coordinate, and implement reinsurance solutions for fixed annuities
· Improving the rate setting and renewal processes with tech forward solutions
· Partner with Modeling & Methodology team to transition Fixed Annuity modeling platform from GGY to MatLab/ALM 2.0
· Implementing appropriate pricing assumptions to be used in rate setting
· Working with CIO to analyze investment strategies and hedging of fixed annuities
What you'll need:
· High‐energy individual who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, curious, and has a growth mindset
· Ability to own/drive deliverables, manage time, and handle multiple priorities
· Ability to grasp complex concepts and provide insightful analytics
· Continuous improvement mindset with desire to reimagine work in a tech-forward way and a penchant for learning
· Experience with SQL and Python a strong plus
· Experience with MatLab a plus
· Ability to partner with and influence peers and leaders across the Retirement Strategies business and corporate functions
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· 4+ years of experience with pricing and/or Fixed Annuity products
· Actuarial qualification of ASA/FSA
· Open to remote/virtual location
