A Day in the Life
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join our Juncos site. This is a great time to join our business after a huge investment in automation and the focus on manufacturing performance systems.
The Operational Excellence Manager will ensure optimal operational efficiency at lowest cost through the delivery of targets against the strategic objectives of the function: Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People. You will work with the Site Leader and Directors, to support the delivery of an agreed manufacturing vision and strategy through continuous improvement, ensuring optimum efficiencies, effectiveness and profitability.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Support and lead lean manufacturing work practices including 5s, problem solving (including root cause analysis) to drive continuous improvement activity at site.
• In conjunction with the Manufacturing and Engineers Leaders, roll out medium to long term strategies for continuous improvement. Accountable for maintaining and reporting progress.
• Maximize people involvement and engagement in programmatic savings.
• Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma).
• Manages projects from inception to delivery, creating and managing against detailed project plans/budgets/schedules.
• Manages and support the tear meetings process.
• Lead Gemba walks.
• Mentor and coaches Black Belts, Green Belts, Yellow Belts and Lead Champions.
• Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
• Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
• Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
• Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
• Drive global common metrics including productivity, cost, quality, delivery, lead time.
• Measures performance against process requirements.
• Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
• Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
• May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
• Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
• Communicates team progress.
• Must be able to train others and work with employees on all levels.
• Performs cost and benefit analyses.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor Degree
• Requires minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advance degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

Nice to Have:

• Green Belt Certification
• Black Belt Certification
• Depth understanding of manufacturing performance and continuous improvement systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
