Program Manager 2 (Finance)
1. Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or program.
2. Manages fiscal activities, including procurement and budget analysis.
3. Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.
4. Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
5. Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities.
6. May administer grants and grant-related related communications, scholarships and other operations.
7. Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
8. May serve as property custodian for the department.
9. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
The Program Manager is the Continuing Education developer of course content design, setup and troubleshooting of courses on the Canvas platform, marketing email distribution for CE class promotion, record keeping and maintenance of course files and database rosters. The Program Manager supports Alumni events through email announcement creation and distribution and with hands-on support at functions. Maintains records of all Career Service workshops and provides promotional support through flier creation. Updates survey, analyzes data and prepares summary report for annual salary survey. Manages online and onsite job board postings. Supervises Work/Study Student and delegates administrative duties to student in support of Alumni, CE and Career Services needs.
The Program Coordinator serves as the onsite greeter for the Center for Career & Professional Development. Must possess excellent customer service skills to interface regularly with faculty, staff, students, alumni, CE instructors and participants, and employers. Strong administrative skills, experience in the field of training program support, employment services support, event management, and/or CE course LMS are preferred. An undergraduate degree is required/a Master of Social Work would be beneficial to understand and relate to the training needs of the Social Work community.
MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
