Role: Project Controller
Purpose of the Job:
The Project Controller will drive financial excellence and project success by continuously measuring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting on project costs, cash flows, and revenues. This role ensures the implementation of project-specific strategies and accurate financial oversight for projects in the Substation EPC market, including utilities, battery storage, rail, and data centers. The Project Controller collaborates closely with project management and key stakeholders to develop detailed cost structures, maintain accurate financial records, and support strategic decision-making, ultimately contributing to Linxon's growth and success in North America.
Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):
• Continuous controlling, analysis, forecasting, and reporting of project costs status, cash flows, revenues, progress curves, resource planning, purchase orders and risk analysis.
• Provide critical assessment of variances and costs projection and develop effective recovery strategies when needed.
• Identify trends and its effect on the long term forecast.
• Lead the project review session with the project manager and prepared a detailed monthly forecast in line with the project schedule.
• Understand the commercial aspects of the contracts upstream and downstream in order to assess any potential claims or change orders and other contractual obligations.
• Monitor and record project changes, implement project-specific strategies and develop project forecasts along with the project management team.
• Collaborate with Project Management and other stakeholders (Legal, Procurement, Quality, HSE, etc.).
• Apply cost allocation and project accounting principles to ensure accurate cost reporting, including preparation of month-end progress accruals.
• Support the continuous development of Project Controls at the Linxon Global level through knowledge sharing, use of the PIMS and by challenging the status quo.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Finance/Accounting and relevant project controller experience
• Experience in EPC management, especially with lumpsum price contract models.
• Experience in planning and forecasting
• Risk management skills and knowledge of field and construction work.
• Excellent computer literacy with experience in planning and cost control standard tools and software
