Billing Clerk

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Reports to: Finance Supervisor

The Billing Clerk position is accountable for creating invoices to customers, fielding phone calls and questions from customers and the sales team regarding their accounts. The candidate will fill a variety of needs within the material billing process such as: scanning documents, indexing, data entry, reconciliation and billing variances resolution. The candidate will be expected to set and consistently achieve a high standard of data processing production both in volume and accuracy.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve any billing variances, submit invoices to customers through various methods such as mail and e-mail. Support sales team with questions on invoices and job reviews and run reports from the system to manage the billing process.

Skills and Qualifications

Accounting experience preferred but not required. Must be organized and detail oriented. Candidate needs to be able to self-monitor and be comfortable working in a team or alone. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize. Good communication skills both writing and verbal. Demonstrate innovative and high-level thinking skills to improve processes. Experience with Excel and other Microsoft applications. Viewpoint experience is a plus. Ability to identify and solve complex work-related issues with computer software. Ability to communicate and maintain sensitive customer relationships, driven to succeed daily performance targets. Ability to set goals and achieve industry skills and knowledge.
