As a Business Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening the business-to-business connectivity between Prudential and both our annuity Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) and Third-Party distribution partners for the purposes of sales enablement and overall ease of doing business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assume the lead role in partnership with Operations leadership of our distribution partners to educate and promote operational/technology advances and identify key initiatives that can influence and improve business connectivity and client experience.
Identify, escalate, and resolve systemic operational challenges that have potential to disrupt business with our partner firms.
Understand and educate on specific workflows related to firm specific platforms for purposes of communicating sales processing nuances and product launch/change plans.
Gather, track, and communicate our partner firms' workflow requirements and unique rules of engagement.
Take lead in understanding, communicating, and creating business cases where appropriate for IMO/Broker Dealer specific initiatives that require system or workflow changes internally.
Partner with both internal and external Broker Dealer relationship management for operational needs pertaining to all sales channels via advisors with approved Broker Dealers.
Develop a deep understanding of the industry operational challenges and potential solutions and proactively participate in industry working groups where appropriate.
Coordinate the execution, approval, and tracking of administrative agreements including: RFIs, SLAs, compensation schedules, and other documentation as needed.
Coordinate new distribution partner onboarding.
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for ad hoc requests from partner firms.
Collaborate with Sales Relationship Management, Broker Dealer Relationship Management and Sales teams to align strategic priorities with tactical efforts.
Qualifications:
8+ years of financial services experience.
5+ years of IMO industry experience.
Knowledge of financial services operations and electronic order entry technology platforms. Annuity specific experience strongly preferred.
Leadership presence with the ability to influence others.
Experience working collaboratively and building rapport with all levels of management.
Results oriented with a strong focus on driving positive outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand the big picture, and recognize downstream impacts.
Active listening skills partnered with the ability to ask relevant probing questions.
Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and embrace change.
Experience working in a collaborative matrixed environment.
FINRA Series 6 and State Insurance license required or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire.
