Intern, Insurance (Summer 2025) (Finance)

Our Insurance Brokerage team is seeking a paid Summer 2025 Intern (approximately 35 hours per week for 12 weeks) for our New York, New York or Lansing, Michigan offices. This intern will gain hands-on experience working with property & casualty, cyber liability, fiduciary liability, fidelity bonds and employment practices liability insurance and the insurance marketplace.
· Learn about the insurance marketplace including property & casualty, cyber-liability, fiduciary liability, fidelity bonds and employment practices liability
· Participate on key business initiatives including insurance policy reviews and renewals
· Research critical business information including reviewing IRS Form 5500's/990's and certified financial audits
· Participate in team meetings and may be asked to present on key subject matters
· Analyze data to request insurance quotes from insurance carriers
· Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting day-to-day issues
· Develop an operational understanding of the insurance business
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
· Extremely high level of attention to detail
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Proven facility with quantitative analysis
· At least two years of undergraduate education (insurance curriculum highly preferred)
· Superior organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
Hourly Rate Range: $18.00 - $28.00
