Geologist/Environmental Scientist - Entry Level (Finance)
Tetra Tech, a leading environmental and management consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated early career Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio to support various environmental projects throughout the mid-west, predominately within Ohio. This position will support a variety of contracts with federal, state, and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work successfully both independently and in team settings.

Your Role
This position will support environmental investigations within field and office settings, with the following general responsibilities:
Qualifications
Candidates must have 1 to 3+ years of environmental consulting or related experience. Previous experience with site investigations, remediation, or field sampling (including Ohio EPA VAP and/or Ohio BUSTR) preferred, but not required.
Candidates must possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Must also be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment.
Candidates must be able to drive and pass a motor vehicle records check. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, Teams) also required.
Degree / Certifications
B.S./B.A. in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred; however, an Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences or similar may also be acceptable.
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER and asbestos certifications preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands
Candidate must be able to walk around project sites in all types of terrain and be physically able to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment. Must be able to complete annual medical monitoring program.
Work Environment
This position will require outdoor work within the U.S. during all seasons, including peak summer and winter conditions. Overnight travel may also be required that could be in excess of 35%.
