Conducts analysis in support of network in order to efficiently maintain and improve logistics network. Evaluates and designs transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency. Researches and analyzes freight costs and classifications, delivery methods, and delivery schedules to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction.Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum 3 years logistics experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Financial and analytical skills capable of calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, Commission, proportions, areas, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply simple algebra and geometry
Must be able to present data in an easily understood format

Essential Duties:
Analyzes methods and procedures for transportation of raw materials to processing and production areas and transportation of commodities from departments to customers, warehouses, and other storage facilities.
Determines the most economical and efficient routing and mode of transportation
Analyzes and proposes changes to improve control and efficiency of traffic department
Coordinates inbound container shipments to domestic locations
Schedule shipments to ensure compliance with Interstate traffic laws and regulations and company policies
Initiates investigations into causes of damage or shortages and consignments or overcharges for freight or insurance
Investigate shipper or consignee complaints regarding lost or damaged merchandise or shortages in shipment to determine responsibility
Directs preparation of claims against carrier responsible and corresponds with shipper or consignee to effect settlement
