Volunteer Services Manager (Project Management)
Collaborate with program staff to identify organizational priorities, identifying volunteer needs across the organization to create clear and concise volunteer job descriptions.
Working with the HR department, lead recruitment activities and events, conducting interviews and screening potential volunteers to ensure suitability for roles.
Promote volunteer opportunities through community partnerships, relationship building with local education institutions, select corporate partners, donors, and through social media to expand the volunteer pool.
Design and deliver comprehensive volunteer training programs, including orientation sessions, role-specific skill development, and safety protocols to equip volunteers with necessary knowledge.
Assess volunteer skills and interests to match them with appropriate tasks and projects, creating and managing volunteer schedules to optimize staffing levels.
Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations, including background checks and liability waivers.
Maintain a volunteer calendar to ensure adequate coverage for programs and events.
Volunteer Management and Retention
Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, in-kind contributions, and demographic data.
Prepare reports on volunteer metrics, and conduct regular check-ins with internal stakeholders to align volunteer staffing or recruitment efforts with program needs
Develop and implement a process to collect volunteer feedback, address concerns, and share insights with program managers to improve effectiveness.
Implement strategies to maintain volunteer interest and engagement, including regular communication, appreciation events, and opportunities for advancement.
Update and maintain the volunteer handbook to ensure alignment with organizational policies.
Address volunteer performance issues, including addressing absenteeism, poor performance, or policy violations, up to and including suspension or termination if necessary.
Event Management and Corporate Volunteer Program
Collaborate with Chief Development Officer to oversee corporate volunteer program; work interdepartmentally with kitchen, marketing, and program staff to coordinate day-of-schedule and volunteer responsibilities, communicate event details to volunteers, and serve as day-of-point of contact.
Coordinate volunteer staffing for MOWSF events including the annual Vintner's Gala, recruiting, training, and managing a team of up to 75 volunteers over the weekend of the event.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent in experience. A minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative capacity, with some level of exposure to volunteer or similar program coordination/implementation activities. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse environment. Experience with volunteer management software or databases. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and Excel. Familiarity with Salesforce desired.
SALARY / HOURS/BENEFITS: Starting pay for this position is $56,000 to $65,428 annually dependent on experience. This is a full-time salaried (exempt) position based on a 40-hour work week and offers partial hybrid/remote work options. MOWSF provides company-paid health, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance (100% paid for employee only coverage). Our 403b plan includes a 3% discretionary contribution for all eligible employees. Vacation leave accruals start at 15 days (120 hours) and we observe a total 10 holidays per year.
